The love of life and the excitement of form and color are my inspirations. I attempt to set down my observations and feelings about a fleeting image in time. The way light affects color, the relationship of one color to another, a playful pattern of light and dark dancing across a color field; this is what I try to capture in a painting.
I have no deep message or a cause to state, but I do have a very real love for the actual act of painting, and watercolor is the vehicle best-suited for the spontaneous, ever-changing character of my work. |
