BIOGRAPHY
Artist Statement:

I cannot remember a time when I was not an artist. As a little girl, I loved to draw with pencils, pens, and crayons. Most of my drawings were inspired by the books I read, movies, my imagination, and dreams. I was fascinated by all of these forms of storytelling. Now when I paint, the power of story is ever more compelling, guiding my creative expressions most profoundly by feeling and movement.

Biographic Information:

Linda Ternoir was born in Chicago, Illinois, at the end of World War II. Her mother was an educator, classical pianist, and watercolorist. Crayons, pastels, and watercolor paints were young Linda’s first mediums. As she neared high school age, she began studying at the Art Institute of Chicago. She went on to major in art at the University of Illinois. Linda’s works have been exhibited in both group and one-woman shows. Her work has enjoyed enthusiastic reception and won several awards in juried competitions.
