My work is concerned with the human condition and metaphysical themes -- the straining towards transformation and change, the mystery of space and the spheres. As I progress, I find the work has become a kind of spiritual expression -- moving ever closer to painting and reveling in the power of color.

I was born in New Zealand but have spent the greater part of my life living in Europe (England, Scotland, Germany, France and Italy) and in Canada. Since 2000 I have been living in Pasadena, California, with my American-born husband. My life has been full of different artistic phases -- training in photography at OCAD in Toronto, theater acting and directing, language teaching, event organizing, voice-over work for movies and many years of radio broadcasting. In Los Angeles I have become a full-time digital artist -- first showing work in many quality juried art events such as the Beverley Hills “Affaire in the Garden” and the Malibu, Brentwood, Santa Monica and Pasadena Art Festivals. After that I went on to show in galleries and art venues throughout the wider city. The newest development in my art is that I am now starting to paint on canvas -- and sometimes converting these paintings into digital art. |
