Biographical Information:
Jean is an abstract painter based in the Los Angeles area.
She grew up and attended college in Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Fine Art and Computer Science. She quickly found work in the growing Computer Animation field in Columbus, Ohio, Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. She applied her artistic eye to color and lighting on films including Jurassic Park and Antz.
While Jean has painted off and on throughout her life, including while raising a family, she now enjoys painting full time.
Artist Statement
My paintings are often composed of abstract forms and atmosphere developed through layers of color and texture. I love how contrasting colors talk to each other. My hope is to be able to escape for a little while into a novel space of light and dimension
