PSA President Kathleen Swaydan says of this historic event, “The introduction in the 50th Annual Exhibition catalog contains a passage written by co-chairs Leonard Heath and Robert Brown the Annual. They refer to looking toward the future and the next 50 years of PSA. ‘The first 50 years attest to the significance of the Society's viable goals of blending tradition with the future and the veteran artists working with youthful new members. The second 50 years will reflect the Society's vitality and ability to maintain
these values as a format for new ideas and new expressions.’ “In my opinion, Leonard Heath and Robert Brown were spot on,” says Swaydan. “The artistic achievements of our members have propelled our Society into the 21st Century with innovative and provocative creativity. I am proud to have been a member of Pasadena Society of Artists for 20 of those last 50 years and look to the future with
anticipation of what our membership will create next.”
